We are seeking a Support Veterinarian (Non-Specialist)to join our Internal Medicine and Oncology service. This unique role is designed to provide care for established patients, support our board-certified specialists, and help bridge access for referral cases.
About the Role
Collaborate closely with 6 Internists, 1Oncologist, and 1 Support Veterinarian in a referral-only setting.
Provide initial consultations, diagnostics, and monitoring for cases referred by primary care veterinarians.
Manage stable and ill oncology and internal medicine cases, including rechecks and cases needing timely evaluation when a specialist is unavailable.
Support continuity of care for clients and patients while helping guide cases to the appropriate specialty service.
Role is more oncology-focused due to caseload, but includes internal medicine cases.
What This Role Is Not
Not an emergency or urgent care role—appointments are referral-only and typically scheduled 1–3 days in advance.
No surgical cutting; limited to fast-scan ultrasound, diagnostic authorizations, and inpatient care under specialist direction.

Position Details
Full-time position, second Support Veterinarian in this role.
Expected Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Primarily oncology-focused with internal medicine cases as needed.
Significant independent judgment within a collaborative structure.
Commitment through at least July (with potential for longer).
