Sunshein Podiatry Associates is looking to hire a Medical Scribe as soon as possible! 

MEDICAL SCRIBE JOB SUMMARY: 
This position allows individuals to work side by side with professional healthcare providers. It is the best career decision for recent graduate students who plan to become a physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner. Medical scribes document patient charts into electronic health records. Items to be documented include the history of the patient's problem, the provider's physical examination findings, the providers treatments/plans, and more.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

• Must have excellent verbal and written skills
• Pre-med, biology or chemistry major
• Learn new concepts and skills quickly
• Outgoing and pleasant personality

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accompany physicians into the patient examination room to transcribe a history and physical exam.
• Accurately document the physician’s encounter with the patient.
• List all proper diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician.
• Document any procedures performed by the physician.
• Provide patient education and back office medical assistance as needed

This position requires a laser-like focus on capturing examination details, and a journalistic approach to listening and recording physician findings. Fast and accurate typing skills are a must.

Part time 20-30 hours per week depending on number of patients scheduled. Starting hourly wage $17.00 - 19.00.
