Job Title: Legal Practice Application Consultant (Accounting Background Preferred)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Practice Application Consultant with a strong accounting or ERP background to support and enhance our legal business applications. This client-facing role focuses on configuring, optimizing, and supporting applications used in a law firm environment- not legal practice , but legal operations and financial workflows .
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to gather requirements and configure legal business applications.
Evaluate existing systems for gaps and recommend workflow improvements.
Configure and implement legal-focused applications (e.g., Elite 3E, ProLaw, Aderant, IntApp).
Support testing phases (QA & UAT), go-live, and post-implementation.
Document functional requirements and support project delivery.
Work across multiple projects, ensuring delivery within timelines and budgets.
Provide status updates and coordinate with project managers and implementation teams.
Optimize workflows for accounting, billing, invoicing, and client/matter management.
Train end-users and share best practices.
Travel up to 25% as needed for onsite project delivery.
Required Skills & Experience:
5+ years of experience in business application consulting, preferably within law firm operations .
Strong knowledge of legal ERP systems (e.g., Elite 3E, Aderant, ProLaw).
Hands-on experience in GL, AP, AR, billing/invoicing, and financial reporting .
Background in accounting or finance required ; legal application experience preferred.
Solid SQL and Excel skills.
Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
